PAPA DOO RUN RUN

AMERICA'S MUSIC - CALIFORNIA'S BAND

Formed in 1965, the now legendary California Band, PAPA DOO RUN RUN quickly discovered their forte; they sounded like the Beach Boys! That sound led them to surf music icons, Jan & Dean and from 1976-80 PAPA toured North America with the duo. In the 80s, PAPA graduated from J&D to The Beach Boys and began a two decade odyssey touring and recording with the undisputed champions of Surf Rock!

PAPA DOO RUN RUN boasts many music industry honors, from a #1 Top 40 hit, "Be True to your School" to multiple Gold Records and even a Grammy Nomination. Additionally, PAPA appeared in and preformed the soundtrack album for the CBS-TV movie, "Deadman's Curve."

Today, PAPA DOO RUN RUN averages about 100 dates a year, worldwide. Their act encompasses all the great Classic Rock hits of the 60s and 70s. They are consummate musicians with an act unrivaled in the industry. Through the years, they have managed to live their dream of "Never having to get a real job." Don't miss this CLASSIC MODESTO EVENT that will be made even more memorable with the addition of the STANISLAUS AMALGAMATED SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA who will insure a highbrow Surfin' Safari!

ROYAL FAMILY KID'S CAMP
(RFKC)

RFKC is a summer camp program for abused or abandoned children. A national organization, (www.rfkc.org) RFKC has served thousands of kids since its inception in the early 90s. The first camp for STANISLAUS COUNTY children was held in 2006 and has grown in each succeeding year. In June of 2010 they served 28 kids at their camp in the Sierras. They have a 100% volunteer staff and all of their donations go towards providing a fun-filled week at camp for these children.
