Hans Christian Andersen’s The Ugly Duckling has helped generations of children understand one of humanity’s universal struggles, to find acceptance. The Tortoise and The Hare is the classic Aesop's fable which teaches the race is not always won by the swiftest. Angelina and her friends, Alice, Gracie, A.Z., Viki, and even their teacher, Ms. Mimi, are all aflutter because a special guest is coming to visit Camembert Academy! Angelina and her friends will perform all types of dance, including hip-hop, modern dance, the Irish jig, and, of course, ballet, and they are excited to show off their skills to their famous visitor. Jon Wee and Owen Morse are The Passing Zone, and they simply blow audiences away with their zany comedy and juggling. In Gravity Attacks, the boys invite the audience to join them in their fight against the world's most destructive evil force : gravity. The Passing Zone puts gravity in its place, overpowering it with seemingly effortless dexterity. Objects fly through the air, like chainsaws, torches, and knives. You'll even see three people from the audience floating through space, orbiting planets, narrowly escaping dangerous collisions. The Passing Zone's performance is the closest thing to a world without gravity, but with plenty of levity. Join the fight!

They’re coming back! The Imagination Movers sold out two shows at the Gallo Center in 2011, wowing an audience filled with ‘Gearheads’ (as their young fans are affectionately called). The Movers—Rich, Scott, Dave and Smitty—began in New Orleans in 2003 and today are big stars on the national kids music scene thanks to their combination of radio-friendly songs, kid-friendly themes and dynamic live shows. In concert, the Movers teach high energy dances, play games with the audience and make music on their one-of-a-kind trash can drum set. They have also won a total of 14 national music awards and were named “Parenting Pick” by Parenting Magazine.

Children love this popular tale by the Grimm Brothers about a vain and childish Princess who has promised to kiss a frog! At first she refuses to keep her promise, but in time realizes the importance of honesty and honor. Her kiss breaks the spell and transforms the frog back into a handsome Prince. Artful uses of puppetry, dance and comedy make this story “spring” to life and its audiences “jump” for joy! Suggested for grades K-5.

Pinocchio has been one of the most popular of all children’s stories since it was written by Carlo Collodi in 1883. This play version adheres closely to the original story. All the famous characters are included: Gepetto, Pinocchio’s creator, and “father”, the cat and the fox who attempt to lead Pinocchio to evil ways: the Fireater, who runs the Grand Puppet Theater; the Blue Fairy, who teaches Pinocchio right from wrong and changes him from a puppet into a real boy. As any good children’s story should, Pinocchio not only entertains, but teaches as well.
