Miguel Bosé has been a force in Latin music in a career that has spanned dozens of albums and film roles, his own television show, and work as a theater director. The son of an actress (Lucia Bosè) and a bullfighter (Luis Miguel Dominguín), Bosé grew up in the arts, with Pablo Picasso and Ernest Hemingway among his family friends. Defying the contemporary formula for pop success, this Latin Grammy Award winner’s music has been described as a global fusion of many musical influences. At the center of this is all the passion and expression of a Latin artist, and Miguel Bosé has constantly incorporated more diverse musical elements than many of the genre's crossover pop stars—while performing across the Americas and in Europe. Among his many, many hits, “Amante Bandido,” released in 1984, still receives radio airplay today!
Picture a stage filled with more than 100 fiddlers backed by piano, drums, cellos, guitars, harps and even flutes. Now imagine a group that creates such a two-way sense of fun and joy between musicians and audience that people spontaneously move in their seats in response to the jigs and reels pouring forth from the stage. Front this merry group of music-makers with Scottish master fiddler Alasdair Fraser, whose humor, passion and charismatic playing set the tone, and you’ll have a rough idea what it’s like to attend a concert with The San Francisco Scottish Fiddlers: an evening packed with tunes, songs, and dances.

Backed by the tight Rave On Band, McGuigan dives head first into "Peggy Sue," "Raining in My Heart," "It's So Easy," "That'll Be the Day," "True Love Ways" and of course, "Rave On." And in a unique twist, Billy as 'Buddy' pays homage to his fellow rockers Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper!
Known as the king of the rant, Lewis Black uses his trademark style of comedic yelling and animated finger-pointing to skewer anything and anyone that gets under his skin. His comedic brilliance lies in his ability to make people laugh at the absurdities of life, with topics that include current events, social media, politics and anything else that exposes the hypocrisy and madness he sees in the world. This will be Mr. Black's third appearance at the Gallo Center, so please expect it to be 1) wildly funny, and 2) sold out. Adult themes.

CHRIS LEMMON: A TWIST OF LEMMON. "A Twist of Lemmon" is based on actor and classically trained musician Chris Lemmon's book of the same title, which tells the story of a beloved Hollywood icon, his dad, Jack Lemmon. Jack starred in over 60 films, was nominated for eight Academy Awards and won two Oscars (for "Mister Roberts" and "Save the Tiger"). Chris tells Jack's story in his father's voice and chronicles his life from birth until his death in 2001 at the age of 76. He'll have you crying and laughing with his stories about Jack's relationships with legends like James Cagney, Gregory Peck, Marilyn Monroe and of course his best friend, Walter Matthau. Jack loved his son Chris, but like many actors put his career first and family second. It's that relationship that's the focal point for this extremely moving story.
