The storied, nearly 100-year old Salzburg Marionette Theatre has built up an extensive repertoire with which it has entertained generations of families around the globe. The repertoire includes classical operas, fairy-tales, plays and musicals. One of the latter is an absolutely delightful version of Julie Andrews' box-office hit, The Sound of Music, the Rodgers & Hammerstein masterpiece that has made billions of people familiar with the story of Salzburg, Austria's von Trapp family. This marionette stage version of the original Broadway musical, with its immortal melodies, holds enormous appeal for all ages!
