Los Tigres del Norte
Description
Los Tigres del Norte, the historic norteño band originally from Mocorito, Sinaloa, Mexico, first appeared at the Gallo Center in September 2007. They were part of the extraordinary series of performances that helped open the Center that year. Others included Tony Bennett, Patti LuPone and The Joffrey Ballet. This is the first return to the Center by one of the most revered and influential acts in regional Mexican music. The band is most famous for its politically-charged corridos (ballads). Los Tigres del Norte has sold 32 million albums, earned seven Grammy awards and 12 Latin Grammy awards, and appeared in 40 films.
