Next up for Townsend Opera at the Gallo Center is Giacomo Puccini’s enduring classic. Beloved for over a century, Madame Butterfly is a heart-wrenching story filled with poignant melodies and unparalleled passion. Helping tell the story in the upcoming production are some favorite local performers—Christopher Bengochea, Roy Stevens, Guillermo Garcia, Jr., Donn Bradley and Kelsi Schuller—along with newcomers Ashley Bell, Linda Baird, Nathan Stark, and Larry Zabel. Don’t miss this elegant tale of the tumultuous romance between a trusting geisha and a callous American naval officer.
