DAVE KOZ & FRIENDS

In a career that spans more than three decades, legendary and Grammy nominated saxophonist Dave Koz returns to the road this Holiday Season for his 21st annual “Dave Koz Christmas Tour 2018”.  Special Guests joining Dave this year will be: Mindi Abair, pop/blues saxophonist/singer who will be making her first Christmas Tour appearance; South African guitarist/singer Jonathan Butler, who returns for another wonderful time with Dave; and Japanese keyboard sensation Keiko Matsui.

The tour, now in its 21st year, has received nationwide critical acclaim since its 1997 inception.  After last year’s highly successful 20-year anniversary Christmas Tour, Koz’s 2018 Christmas Tour promises to bring fresh renditions of Christmas classics—as well as a Chanukah medley!—and hits from his respective catalog. Koz has logged nine No. 1 albums on Billboard’s Current Contemporary Jazz Album chart, including 2015’s Collaborations: 25th Anniversary Collection (Concord Records), and received nine GRAMMY nominations. His five holiday albums include 2017's Dave Koz and Friends 20th Anniversary Christmas and 2014’s The 25th of December.

“By all rights, smooth jazz should own the holiday season, and the saxophonist Dave Koz is better positioned than anyone to make it so.” - The New York Times

This year’s lineup marks just the latest in a long list of artists with whom Koz has collaborated over the years, including Burt Bacharach, Ray Charles, Natalie Cole, Celine Dion, Stevie Wonder, Gloria Estefan, Luther Vandross, Shelby Lynne, Kenny Loggins, U2, Michael McDonald, Rod Stewart and The Foo Fighters.

ZZ TOP
GCA FY19
ZZ TOP

ZZ TOP a/k/a “That Little Ol’ Band From Texas,” lay undisputed claim to being the longest running major rock band with original personnel intact and, in 2004, the Texas trio was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Of course, there are only three of them – Billy F Gibbons, Dusty Hill, Frank Beard -- but it’s still a remarkable achievement that they’re still very much together after almost 50 years of rock, blues, and boogie on the road and in the studio.  ZZ TOP’s music is always instantly recognizable, eminently powerful, profoundly soulful and 100% Texas American in derivation.

KIDS' CAMP ROCKS!
Presents
PABLO CRUISE

In the late 70s, the rock band Pablo Cruise pasted hit after hit on the billboard top 20 and by 1985 they had completed 7 studio LPs and several World Tours. Hits like “Whatcha Gonna Do When She Says Goodbye" and “Love Will Find A Way" delivered LIVE by these exceptional musicians rocked audiences wherever they performed.

The boys took a long hiatus in 1985, then reunited in 2005, picking right up where they left off. Today the band performs all over the US and Canada and they're thrilled to bring their exceptional live show to Modesto's Gallo Center!

The band still sports its core of Cory Lerios, David Jenkins and Steve Price and is bringing more energy and excitement to the stage than ever before and the boys have never sounded better! Don't pass up this chance to experience Pablo Cruise!

All proceeds from this fabulous rock and roll show will benefit Foster Children from the Stanislaus County area. Royal Family Kids' Camp is a 100% charity with a 100% volunteer staff. ALL proceeds benefit the kids we serve.

ANTHEM LIGHTS
GCA FY19
ANTHEM LIGHTS
At the heart of most success stories lies a framework of brand invention, the creation of a persona or x-factor that raises an artist above the noise. But for Christian pop vocal group Anthem Lights, it’s reinvention that’s catapulted the talented foursome to over 147 million YouTube views and 1.4 million monthly listeners on streaming services. The indie group’s success is due in large part to the foursome’s vocal prowess (Caleb Grimm, Chad Graham, Spencer Kane and Joey Stamper are all exceptional singers), creative mash-ups and reinventions of pop hits and beloved hymns.

THE PLATTERS

What a perfect concert to help kick off Modesto’s Graffiti Summer celebrations—with a group that had two hit songs on the soundtrack for “American Graffiti” directed by native son George Lucas! Though the performers’ names have changed down through the years, the oh-so-memorable music remains a wonderful constant. The Platters charted 40 hit records—among them “Only You,” “The Great Pretender,” “Smoke Gets in Your Eyes,” and “Twilight Time.” Experience the distinctive sound of one of the most successful vocal groups of the early rock and roll era!
