He’s called “The Best Comedian in Mexico.” He’s also one of the busiest. Teo Gonzales is a near constant presence on television, having performed on such series as “Al Ritmo de la Noche,” “Los Comediantes,” “El Festival del Humor,” “Sabado Gigante” and “El Show de Cristina.” This wildly funny entertainer from León, Guanajuato also performs 220 live shows annually, across Mexico, the U.S. and Central and South America.

Actress Liliana Arriaga is best known as “La Chupitos,” a dirt-poor, humble character reminiscent of comic portrayals by Carol Burnett and Red Skeleton. While Liliana has appeared in tele-novelas like "Mujeres Engañadas" and "Nunca Te Olvidaré," her forte is clearly slapstick comedy, which is why she is such a hit on shows including "No Manches," "Don Francisco Presenta," "100 Mexicanos Dijeron," "VidaTV" and "La Casa de la Risa."

PAQUITA LA DEL BARRIO
GCA FY16

Paquita la del Barrio (“Franny from the neighborhood”) performs rancheras and other Mexican musical styles. Her songs usually take a stance against Mexico's sexist male culture. This has made her popular among female audiences. Paquita’s signature phrase, with which she often teases male spectators in her shows, is “¿Me estás oyendo, inútil?”  ("Are you listening to me, you good-for-nothing?").  Many of her albums and songs are jukebox staples in Mexican clubs and cantinas. One of her best known songs is Rata de dos patas (“Two-legged rat”), in which she uses a rat as a metaphor for a man. Many admirers, particularly outside Mexico, also appreciate Paquita for her camp value.
